Cotten's Campground
Those in search of a more secluded experience might want to stay at Cotten's Campground. A local family operates this small campground, and they have 25 sites available for rent. The campground is only 1 mile from Jordan Lake, and all campsites have full hookups for your RV. Rates vary throughout the season, but before you head out to this site, you'll need to make a reservation.

Goodwin's RV Campground
Another family-owned campground is located in Moncure. You can find semiprivate spaces with full hookups for your RV at Goodwin's RV Campground. The grounds are near two convenience stores and only a mile from the local post office.

How to Get to
Jordan Lake State Recreation Area
If you want to reach the park's office, you can take I-40 to U.S. 64 West. Take that highway to Exit 98B and travel west. The park office will be located on the left side before the bridge crosses over Jordan Lake.

The park is open throughout the year. However, most public areas will close by 8:00 p.m. The following entrance fees only apply to Memorial Day through Labor Day and weekends in April, May, and September.
