Indian Creek Campground is located on the Cherokee Indian Reservation at the southern edge of the Great Smoky Mountains National Park in the west of North Carolina. It serves as the perfect motorhome base to explore famous attractions in the region, including the Museum of the Cherokee Indian, Mingo Falls, Oconaluftee Islands Park, Cherokee Bear Zoo, and Saunooke Village. The campground is nestled on 88 forested acres between three mountain tops, providing guests with tranquillity and ultimate relaxation.
Apart from its scenic and peaceful location, Indian Creek Campground also offers some of the finest trout fishing opportunities. They sell reservation fishing permits in the camp store and the on-site Bunches Creek is regularly stocked by the Cherokee Fisheries and Wildlife Management Program. While this provides visitors of all ages with plenty of entertainment, other amenities such as a playground and swimmable creek are also available.
“First time up the mountains with our new RV, and we had an absolute blast! Streams were clean and easily accessible. Lots were also clean, spacious and private. Staff was friendly and extremely accommodating.” – Megan, Google review
