New York

The coastal park flaunts sandy beaches with picnic tables and playgrounds for families to enjoy. Designated a state park in 1924, the area of Hither Hills was formerly reserved for commercial development. Casinos, hotels, and even a yacht basin were slated to undergo development in the region. Whether you want to get out and enjoy some hiking or spend some time camping, there's something for everyone to appreciate. There's also plenty to enjoy in the nearby New York communities of Montauk, East Hampton, and Manhattan.
