Why you’ll love Hammonasset State Park You’ll love the beaches here. The water is warm enough for swimming in the summer, and there is fishing and hiking here also. There is a playground for kids and they offer movies and activities on the weekends.
“This park exceeded my expectations. The park is large and the sites are roomy. The park is very clean and the grass pads were really nice and level. Clean. Did I mention clean? The beaches are easily accessible on foot and the Long Island Sound was really calm and pleasant to swim in even in late September. Meg’s Point nature area was a nice bike ride through the park and featured an impressive rocky beach which was really fun to climb and explore. (Or just to sit and view). Very, very pleasant.” – Jim and Ben, RV Park Reviews
