Sakonnet Greenway Trail
The Sakonnet Greenway Trail takes you through many terrific locations such as Newport Vineyards, Aquidneck Farms, Newport National Golf Club, and Albro Woods. The trail is generally used for dog walking, running, hiking, wildlife viewing, and horseback riding.

Cliff Walk
Two-thirds of this walk is fairly easy; however, the southern half is quite rough with its natural and rugged New England rocky shoreline. The rock surfaces can be quite slippery, making this part of the trail more difficult to maneuver through. Not far from the pathway are abrupt drops of over 70 feet often hidden from overgrowth brush. For your safety, it is recommended that you do not veer off the path.

Watson Farm
This 2-mile self-guided walking trail takes you through the history and seasonal cycle of the farm. It all started in 1796 as a 265-acre working farm that features horses, cattle, chickens, sheep, and beautiful gardens. Demonstrations and school programs are offered at the farm.

Secret Garden Tour in Newport RI
Take a two-hour tour through the beautiful gardens. The tour season varies, but you can expect to view eight to 10 of them during your visit to Secret Gardens. Tickets cost $20 in advance, or they can be purchased for $25 at the beginning of the tour. All proceeds collected are donated to public schools of Rhode Island to help fund their music, dance, art, and theater programs.

The Breakers Stable & Carriage House
The Breakers Stable sits just a half-mile west of the house, which once functioned as the only source of travel for the Breaker family. There were 12 grooms and stable boys who took care of the horses and got the carriages ready for the entire family. Free self-guided tours are provided.

Castle Hill Lighthouse
The Castle Hill Lighthouse is a navigational aid for ship traffic in Newport and Providence through the East Passage of Narragansett Bay. Funding has kept this lighthouse in working condition to better serve the area. Unfortunately, it is not open for public viewing, but footpaths can easily access the grounds. The lighthouse is listed in the National Register of Historic Places.
