Things To Do Near Chickasaw National Recreation Area
Hiking at Chickasaw National Recreation Area is a popular endeavor, and it is available to guests year-round at several different trails. Visitors also tend to enjoy wildflower viewing, which is most effective between the months of March and October. Specified areas near the Lake of the Arbuckles are open for hunting during seasons regulated by the state. Summer is a perfect time for water-based pursuits such as swimming, boating, canoeing, kayaking, and water skiing. Toward the end of Travertine Creek are the freshwater Buffalo Springs and Antelope Springs, which can be accessed from a brief hike.

Antelope Springs Trail
Antelope Springs Trail is a fairly short trail that offers beautiful views of natural springs and dense greenery. Antelope Springs is one of the main water sources for Travertine Creek. You can lengthen the trail by 0.5 miles if you take the Prairie Loop and 0.6 miles if you take the Tall Oaks Loop.

Travertine Creek Trail
Travertine Creek Trail is a hiking path that connects Pavilion Springs to the Travertine Nature Center. You can find parking at either end of it. The terrain is level for the most part, with occasional slopes. Attractions you will find along the path include several bridges and a set of stone stairs. Pets are allowed as long as they are kept on leashes.

Bison Pasture Loop
Bison Pasture Loop is a popular hiking trail that visitors can access from Pavilion Springs, Hillside Springs, the Lincoln Bridge, and Bison Overlook. The trail is 0.8 miles longer if you take the spur to Rock Creek Campground.
