Things To Do Near President William Jefferson Clinton Birthplace Home National Historic Site
Start your visit to President William Jefferson Clinton Birthplace at the park visitor center, where you can view a kiosk with digital vignettes of memorable moments in Clinton's life. The exhibits showcased at the center include stories about renovations of the home and some events from Clinton's childhood. Be sure to stop at the bookstore for educational items and souvenirs to take with you. Take a ranger-led tour that brings you inside the birthplace home, where you can see the front room's fireplace, table, chairs, family photos, and other areas of the house.

The beginning of the Beech Ridge Trail runs among bottomland hardwoods. This 2-mile loop trail climbs to a Loblolly pine forest and is moderately trafficked. Along the trail, the forest and ecosystem types are the themes of the path, with the beech and hickory being the predominant tree types.

Coastal Plain Trail
Located in White Oak State Park, The Coastal Plain Trail is a lightly trafficked loop trail that features a lake and takes you to an elevation of 183 feet. The trail goes through part of southern Arkansas's most unique terrain. It meanders through the extraordinary plant life of the sandhills, including fascinating woody flora. The path is generally used for running, walking, and hiking.

This looped scenic trail highlights the many different ecosystems found at Daisy State Park, and it generally takes about an hour to complete. Old Washington Blacksmith Shop
The Old Washington Blacksmith Shop was built by Pioneer Washington Restoration Foundation in 1960 and is an interpretative center with two working forges. The shop sits inside Historic Washington State Park and represents the most famous blacksmith in Washington, James Black. He is credited with forging the original knives for James Bowie in the 1830s.
