Long Branch State Park is a great place for swimming and spending time on the water. Three separate boat ramps give campers access to Long Branch Lake. The sandy beach is a great place to kick back and relax.
Long Branch State Park preserves savanna and prairie remnants in an area called the Chariton River Hills. You can enjoy hiking the trails through this area to see beautiful prairie wildflowers and native birds, such as the indigo buntings, red-headed woodpeckers and brown thrashers.
“Loved tent camping here! First time and nothing bad to say. We had a great time. Very well kept and designed. Nice wooded tent camping sites. Camp host was very knowledgeable and polite. We will back!” – Shawn, Google Review
