Utah Lake State Park is the most remote of the Provo campgrounds. The mountain views at this park are truly incredible, and it’s a great place for boating in the summer. The sites at Utah Lake State Park are spaced widely apart.
Even though Utah Lake State Park is in the middle of nowhere, it offers limited hookups. You can fish at this park with a license, and there is a fish-cleaning station on-site. Plus, there is a paddleboard rental facility next to Utah Lake State Park.

CamperWorld – Echo Island Ranch is a large RV park near West Valley City in Coalville. It is situated in the mountains to the east of Salt Lake City on the shores of Echo Reservoir. Even though it’s in a remote area, it is still right next to Interstate 80.
You can go fishing at CamperWorld – Echo Island Ranch if you have a license. This RV park is home to a number of nature trails, and it offers access to Weber River in addition to Echo Reservoir. Most of the sites at CamperWorld – Echo Island Ranch feature both picnic tables and fire rings.
