The park sits on a lake of the same name; the 165-acre body of water makes for great swimming, boating, and fishing. The park is located close enough to Route 81 to have quick access to the many other attractions you’d want to see on a Pennsylvania road trip.
The campsites at this park are quite large with a number of them offering great shade from the summer sun. In addition to all the lake-based activities, there are also a number of trails to hike and bike through as well as hunting and picnicking.

Lackawanna State Park is a beautiful 1,400-acre stretch of forests and waterways about 10 miles north of Scranton. Lackawanna Lake sits in the center of this rustic park and allows campers to participate in all sorts of water-based activities.
