This rustic campground is located right above the National Elk Refuge, so you can wake up in the morning and watch the elk grazing. The campground also has amazing views of the Teton Mountain Range. During your stay, you can enjoy being surrounded by large pine trees and many miles of hiking trails.
You will love the peace and quiet of this campground, which often empties out every morning. The scenery is spectacular because the property is on top of a summit. While the road up can be a bit tricky, you will feel that it was all worth it once you reach the beautiful campground.
“This is a small, quiet site with only around a dozen plots. It has a gorgeous view over the valley that couldn’t be wider. There’s a trail that heads further up the mountain though if it isn’t high enough for you. The only downside is that the spot is known for its view so around sunset there’s some traffic coming up for the view. They’re gone shortly afterward though.” – Bill, Google Reviews

“We stayed in the RV Park and didn’t do a whole lot in the Lodge area except a quick trip to the Saloon for the cheapest Michelob Ultra we’ve had on our whole trip. The park complex is huge and there is a constant daily turnover, so maybe the workers are a little brusque, but no one was rude. We paid $106 a night and stayed two nights. Our site was easy to get in and out of and we had a little patch of green grass on the side. What made this a bargain is that we were close to everything we wanted to do and see in Jackson.” – Linney, TripAdvisor

The town in Idaho 20 minutes away has great restaurants. Yellowstone is a 2-hour drive away. We completely circled Yellowstone and the Tetons in a day.” – Jeffrey, Google Reviews

Temps were down into the 50s in the evenings 80s during the day. Just an idyllic place to spend a week fishing and camping. You will probably want to bring bear spray so you’re as safe as possible. There are bare boxes for your food. There are no RV hook ups but there is a freshwater pump for drinking water.
