Perrot State Park is located along the Mississippi River between Trempealeau and Minnesota City, Wisconsin. The park has several trails to explore, so make sure to bring your hiking boots. The Mississippi River also provides a lot of options for fishing and other water activities during your visit, and hikers and climbers flock to the 500-foot bluffs where the Trempealeau and Mississippi Rivers converge. Perrot State Park
Inside Perrot State Park
In Perrot State Park, you will get a fantastic view from the bluffs overlooking the Mississippi River. This also lots of wildlife in this park, so don't forget your binoculars. The 1,270-acre park has several trails that you can hike or bike, and in the winter, some of the trails are used for cross-country skiing. The river makes it convenient to go fishing, kayaking, and canoeing. If you don't have a boat, rentals are available at the park office.
How to Get to
Perrot State Park
From La Crosse, start by taking I-90 E for a few miles. Then, take exit 4 to get onto US-53 N. From there, stay in the left two lanes and follow signs for US-53 N/WI-157 W. In about 9.6 miles, take exit 15 to merge onto WI-53 N. Turn left off of the exit onto WI-35 N. In about 8 miles, turn left onto Main Street, and then turn right onto 1st Street. 1st Street will turn into Sullivan Street, which will turn into South Park Road and bring you to the park's main entrance.
