New Glarus Woods State Park is a south-central Wisconsin recreation area that was established in 1934. Since its founding, it has been developed into a wonderful tourist attraction filled with various plants, animals, and recreational opportunities. Originally on 34 "well-wooded" acres, the premises have expanded over the years to encompass a total land area of 435 acres.
