This state park covers an area of 3,774 acres along Route 17 and is considered to be one of the best destinations in central Washington. Coulee City RV Park is located just seven miles from Sun Lakes State Park. This campground site doesn't require any reservations, which is convenient for last-minute excursions. There is a family-friendly swim beach for the kids, and functional amenities, such as showers, restrooms, picnic tables, and cafeterias. If you want something a little higher-end, the Coulee Lodge Resort is the ideal RV park for you. This campground is never overcrowded, yet it offers amazing amenities at your disposal. This destination is well-preserved and kept hygienic throughout the year. You will find this resort and RV park near Blue Lake in the heart of the Grand Coulee region. This campground allows families to enjoy fishing, boating, and camping without any problems. However, you will have to make reservations as this place sells out quickly. How to Get to
Sun Lakes State Park
If you are driving your RV from the east on I-90 (from Seattle), you can get on Exit 151 (Highway 283) through Ephrata to Soap Lake. Once you get to the end of this road, you can drive north on Highway 17 to Sun Lakes State Park.
If you are coming in from the west on I-90 (from Spokane), you can take Exit 179 on Highway 17 to Soap Lake. At the end of this road, you can drive north to Sun Lakes State Park.
Entering Sun Lakes State Park
You can make a minimum reservation of two nights during on-season and three nights during the holidays. The hours of operation are 6:30 a.m. to dusk during the summer season and 8:30 a.m. to dusk during the winter season.
