For a park that only covers an area of 421 acres, Ike Kinswa State Park is filled with opportunities for both campers and picnickers. The park features 2.5 miles of hiking trails as well as 2 miles of biking trails. Different varieties of giant trees cover the park, including Douglas fir, cedar, western hemlock, spruce, alder, and several others. Under the trees, visitors can find 54 picnic tables, often beside fire rings, interspersed throughout the park in places where the views are especially attractive. There's a beach on Mayfield Lake that's 46,000 feet long interrupted by a two-lane paved boat-launch area and a 40-foot boat-handling pier. The park is in a relatively remote area, allowing for natural sounds, especially at night.

Ike Kinswa State Park

Ike Kinswa State Park is easy to find. Whether you're traveling north or south on I-5, take the U.S. Highway 12 exit and travel east. Follow the road for about 20 miles to Silver Creek, WA. Take Washington Highway 122 East (WA-122 E) out of Silver Creek, WA, for 4 miles and find the Larson Road exit. Traveling Larson Road for just over a mile gets you to the park.
