Located just north of the town of Conconully in northern Washington state, this state park offers 97 acres to explore, including 5,400 feet of shoreline along the Conconully Reservoir. The Upper Conconully Reservoir, known as Salmon Lake, is also nearby. Along with fishing and waterskiing, visitors to Conconully State Park enjoy kayaking and canoeing and, in winter, snowshoeing, cross-country skiing, and even dog sledding. Kids can enjoy participating in the park's Junior Ranger program year-round. During your visit, you can explore a replica of the courthouse cabin that once stood in the area, as well as the bell from the area's former schoolhouse. Surrounding the park is the scenic Okanogan-Wenatchee National Forest, which has hiking trails with views of the nearby Cascade Mountains.

Shady Pines Resort
Shady Pines Resort is located on Conconully Reservoir, and it is just 15 miles northwest of Okanogan. Along with full hookup RV sites, they offer fully equipped cabins. If you need any tackle for your fishing trip, there is an on-site bait shop. When you stay at this location, you'll be surrounded by fantastic mountain views. The campground is near the beach, too. During the winter, the campground has access to a few miles of snowmobile trails. The rates vary at this campground. If you want a beachside site, the price is $36 per day.

Oriole Campground
If you want a more primitive camping experience, consider spending the night at Oriole Campground. This site borders the North Fork Salmon Creek. It offers a few campsites with fire rings, tent pads, and picnic tables. However, there are no RV hookups at this location. You will have to "rough it" for your stay. The campground does have a toilet facility available for campers. Despite its limited amenities, this campground is a great location for those who are interested in hitting the lake to fish. The cost to reserve a spot for the night is $8.

Tonasket Chamber of Commerce RV Park
This RV park offers eight full hookup (30/20 amp) sites for RVs. There is also a space to set up your tent for camping. Tonasket Chamber of Commerce RV Park is within walking distance of several convenience stores. This location, which is 25 miles north of Conconully, is a great spot for hunting, hiking, and fishing. These sites are spacious, and they can accommodate most RV sizes. If you want to book a space for the night, the cost is $25 per day or $165 per week.

What to Do at
Conconully State Park
With restrooms, picnic tables, and wide, open grassy fields, the park makes a great place to enjoy a relaxing day by the shore or a casual game of soccer. You can also try your luck at the horseshoe pits, relax on a paddleboat, or head out for a hike. More strenuous outdoor adventures include mountain biking and kayaking. If you have kids in your group they will love the wading pool and the playground.

Inside Conconully State Park
With an elevation of over 2,000 feet, this 81-acre park provides some breathtaking views of the mountains, lakes, forests, and creeks. Conconully State Park is considered an angler's paradise, and there are two lakes for you to enjoy. During the winter, Conconully State Park offers plenty of wintertime fun, including snowmobiling and cross-country skiing.
Fishing
A fishing license is required to fish at any of Washington's state parks. You can launch your boat or fish from the shore. Both of the reservoirs at the park are stocked with a variety of species, including largemouth bass, brook trout, and rainbow trout. You might also get lucky enough to catch some salmon when fishing at the park.
Geocaching
There is at least one traditional cache hidden within the park. If you decide to hunt for it, bring your GPS device or smartphone and a pen to sign the logbook when you find it.
Nature Watching
Bird-watchers will love visiting this state park, which is home to a diverse range of avian species, including bald eagles, chickadees, osprey, and several types of waterfowl. In the springtime, the area is alive with colorful wildflowers.
Flora and Fauna
Animals such as mule deer, white-tailed deer, and coyotes are occasionally spotted in the park. Geese, woodpeckers, elk, and rabbits also make their home in the park. While you're relaxing along the shoreline or hiking along the trails, you may encounter towering Douglas fir trees, oak trees, and Ponderosa Pine trees, as well as plants like colorful lupines during the spring.
Hiking
You have a couple of trails to choose from within the park as well as some excellent options nearby in Okanogan-Wenatchee National Forest. Most of these trails are multi-use, which means that you may encounter horses, cyclists, and even ATV riders while hiking.
Swimming
You are welcome to enjoy swimming in the clear waters of the reservoir. Most people swim from the picnic area which has restrooms nearby.
Boating
Take an invigorating canoe or kayak ride during your visit to Conconully State Park. You'll find two boat ramps to launch from as well as a 48-foot dock. Both motorized and nonmotorized boats are welcome to use the dock and the launch, although these are only open seasonally. How to Get to
Conconully State Park
Conconully State Park is located just to the south of Broadway Street in the town of Conconully. To get there from the city of Okanogan, take 6th Avenue N until you reach Conconully Road, which leads right into Conconully. From there, turn right onto Broadway Street, and you'll see the park's entrance to your left.
Entering Conconully State Park
Entrance to the park is free for pedestrians and cyclists, but you will need a Discover Pass when parking a vehicle. This pass is available at a rate of $10 per day or $30 per year.

Conconully State Park is an excellent destination for outdoor enthusiasts all year long, depending on what you want to do. While some of the park's features, such as the boat launch, are only available during the warmer months, other activities, including snowshoeing and cross-country skiing, are popular once the snow flies.
Along with lots of seasonal geese, many deer make their home within the park. If you keep an eye out, you may also be lucky enough to spot a bald eagle. Around dusk, listen for the sounds of great horned owls and great grey owls. Hawks, wrens, and hummingbirds are also spotted often.
There are a total of 60 campsites at Conconully State Park, as well as five primitive cabins that you can stay in overnight. 20 of the campsites have partial hookups available for RVs.
The campsites with partial hookups are available to reserve in advance via the park's online system or by telephone and the primitive sites are available on a first-come, first-served basis. Rates vary, depending on the season and the type of site you need, but you can expect to pay around $35 to $50 per night for a camping spot with hookups. Primitive campsites cost as little as $20 per night in winter.
Yes, your pets are allowed at Conconully State Park and are even welcome to join you when hiking on most of the trails. Pets must be leashed at all times, and you are expected to clean up after them.
