Button Bay State Park RV & Campground Guide

Vermont

Button Bay State Park is a 253-acre protected area in Vermont that runs along the shoreline of Lake Champlain. This beautiful landscape has been appreciated by notable visitors like Ben Franklin, Ethan Allen, and Samuel Champlain. Prior to the establishment of the state park in 1964, the area was a working farm. When you walk along the lake’s shore, you will spot button-shaped clay deposits that inspired the park’s name. Because the state park is adjacent to the Button Point Natural Area, recreational activities in both areas can be enjoyed during an RV or camping trip. Button Bay State Park is conveniently located near these cities and towns: • Vergennes, VT • Burlington, VT • Ferrisburgh, VT • Rutland, VT
