A public recreation area in the northeast corner of Nebraska, Niobrara State Park occupies 1,640 acres of bluffs. A number of outdoor activities can be enjoyed in the park, and visitors definitely enjoy all that this outdoor attraction has to offer.
As is the case in most of Nebraska, Niobrara sees cold, relatively dry winters and hot summers, with most precipitation falling in the months of May and June. Fall and spring are the ideal times to visit, but fun can be found in the park any time of year.

RV Resorts & Campsites in Niobrara State Park
Choosing to camp during your visit to this fabulous park will make the experience even more exciting. That said, the idea of sleeping in a tent may not feel that exciting after a night or two. Instead of dealing with the discomforts of tent camping, you might consider taking an RV along.
Of course, taking an RV may seem pretty difficult to do if you don’t have one. Luckily, there’s RVshare. RVShare has hundreds of rental RVs to choose from, meaning finding the perfect rig for your state park adventure is a cinch.
Obviously, you’re going to need someplace to park that rental RV. Fortunately, Niobrara State Park has camping facilities right on site. The in-park campground includes 76 RV sites with both 30-amp and 50-amp electrical hookups. On top of that, guests can also enjoy a water fill-up, dump station, and a shower house. There is even Wi-Fi available at the shower house should you need to connect with family and friends.
Unfortunately, during the busiest times of year getting into this campground is not always possible. This is where the following local camping options come into play.

Located in Springfield, SD, Springfield Recreation Area is a beautiful place to call home during your visit. Try your hand at biking, bird watching, boating, or fishing during the day and sleep peacefully in nature each night. Best of all, camping rates are only $19 a night.

Knox County Fairgrounds
Need someplace even cheaper to park your home-on-wheels? Knox County Fairgrounds offers $15 campsites. Sure, the camping area is pretty barebones, but for $15 a night, you can’t expect too much.

Entering Niobrara State Park
Unless you will be camping onsite, a day-pass must be obtained in order to visit this park. You can purchase this pass online or in person on the day of your visit. Depending on what you plan to do in the park, other fees may apply.
