Givhans Ferry State Park is a scenic public recreation area located in Ridgeville, South Carolina. The land the park lies upon was donated by the city of Charleston in 1934 and developed by the Civilian Conservation Corps thereafter. It is named after Philip Givhan, a significant ferry master on the Edisto River that operated Givhan's Ferry. The state park's premises include exciting outdoor attractions, views of nature, and even a rentable entertainment venue called Riverfront Hall. A few of the most popular activities to look forward to here are fishing, hiking, geocaching, bird-watching, and mountain biking. On the way from Charleston, start by following SC-61 N to Givhans Ferry Park Rd in Dorchester County. You will arrive at the destination after turning left onto Givhans Ferry Park Rd.
On the way from Columbia, start by taking Assembly St, and US-76 W to I-126 W. Follow I-26 E to Dorchester County and then take Exit 187 from I-26 E. Continue on SC-27 S. You will arrive at the destination after taking Ridge Rd/State Rd S-18-19 and County Rd S-18-30 to Givhans Ferry Park Rd.
