A couple of major U.S. cities located close to Schodack Island State Park are New York City and Boston. If you plan to travel from New York City, you will begin the route by taking West St to NY-9A N. The second step is to follow Palisades Interstate Pkwy N and I-87 N to U.S. 9 N in Schodack and then exit from I-90 W. To reach your destination, simply follow U.S. 9 N. 

For those who are coming from Boston, start the route by getting onto I-93 S from Sudbury St. Then take I-93 S from Sudbury St then exit from I-90 W.
