Hoeft State Park Campground provides 144 modern campsites capable of handling RVs. The park was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 2009. Clear Lake State Park Campground
Clear Lake State Park Campground is only a 40-minute drive inland from Hoeft State Park. The campground takes up about two-thirds of the entire shoreline of Clear Lake and features 200 modern campsites. Clear Lake is a deep 133-acre lake that offers great fishing, boating, and canoeing opportunities. Pathways in the park are groomed for hikers during warm months and serve as cross-country ski trails during the winter.

Onaway State Park Campground
Onaway State Park Campground sits on the southeast shore of Black Lake, 23 miles west of Hoeft State Park. RV campers enjoy a selection of 85 campsites. Onaway is a 158-acre park that has a rugged and picturesque appearance. Thick undergrowth covers the land beneath a canopy of tall trees. Along the lake, there is a sandy/cobblestone beach interrupted by a boat launch. Restrooms and hand-pump water stations are spaced throughout the park while fire rings and picnic tables grace each campsite. Favorite activities at Onaway State Park Campground include fishing, hiking, nature watching, and sunbathing.

Aloha State Park Campground
Aloha State Park Campground is located on the shores of Mullett Lake, just 45 minutes southwest of Hoeft State Park. The 172-acre park offers over 200 RV sites. Boat enthusiasts, hikers, bikers, and anglers find this park to be a paradise. A sandy beach stretches along the lakeshore, interrupted by a cement boat launch and a boat basin constructed to protect watercraft from inclement weather. Restrooms are dispersed throughout the park. All of the hiking and biking trails intersect with pathways that extend beyond the forests surrounding the campground and Lake Huron's shores.

Inside Hoeft State Park
Hoeft State Park offers an astonishing number of fun opportunities. Sunbathers and swimmers are welcome to use the beach during the summer. For winter storm watchers, the incredible waves built along this stretch of Michigan are a wonder to behold. The campground provides picnic tables, fire rings, a horseshoe pit, and volleyball courts. You'll also find 4.5 miles of hiking trails that convert to cross-country ski routes during the winter.
How to Get to
Hoeft State Park
Hoeft State Park is only five miles from Rogers City, MI. You can get there by taking U.S. Highway 23 West (US-23 W). The park entrance is well marked alongside the highway.
From Lansing, MI, in the south, the route runs for 242 miles along U.S. Highway 127 North (US-127 N) until it hooks into US-23 at exit 310. Turn east toward M 68 and Rogers City. Travel east on US-23 until you find the park entrance alongside the highway.
