The third-largest lake in Iowa is located at Rock Creek State Park. Naturally, Rock Creek Lake makes a wonderful place to go swimming, boating, and fishing. Once winter arrives, the path makes a great place to go cross-country skiing, and you can go ice fishing in the lake as well. How to Get to
Rock Creek State Park
If you are coasting down Interstate 80, then it is easy to get to Rock Creek State Park by getting off at exit 173. Once you are on Highway 224 North, go through Kellogg, and keep going north for about six miles until you reach County Road F-27. Turn right, and go for about three miles; then, turn right to enter the park.
