San Elijo State Beach is a lovely place to visit if you're in the mood for some sun, sand, and surf. Located near San Diego and Tijuana, the beach gives visitors a breathtaking view of the Pacific Ocean both from the sand and the bluff-based campsite overhead.
Expect warm temperatures all year with the weather rarely making it below 50 degrees Fahrenheit even in the coldest months, usually sticking to a balmy mid-70s throughout spring, summer and fall. Rain is also pretty uncommon, meaning you'll be able to enjoy the great weather in the water as much as possible.

Fiddler's Cove Marina & RV Park is a military campground located in San Diego right on the coast. One of the park's best features is the discounted rates that make for a better value than most RV campgrounds, but the military exclusivity obviously means it's not going to be right for everyone. From great Wi-Fi and RV hookups to shower and laundry facilities and more, there's a ton of great amenities you can take advantage of during your stay. This is in addition to things like the on-site mechanic, boat rentals, sailing lessons and other amenities that are great to have. The campground is even welcoming to your pets.
La Pacifica RV Park
San Diego's La Pacifica RV Park is a real home away from home right down to the grounds giving off the feeling of being in a regular neighborhood. This RV park has a ton to offer guests. They have access to basics like full electrical, water and sewage hookups as well as a good Wi-Fi connection. With the extra fun like a clubhouse stocked with games and activities and a heated pool and hot tub out back, you won't have time to even think about getting bored when you're staying here. It's also conveniently located along the bus route and trolley stops to make getting around town all the easier. You can bring your pets with you.

How to Get to
San Elijo State Beach
Getting to San Elijo State Beach is simple. From San Diego, get on Interstate 5 and travel north around 25 miles. Get off on Exit 42 on Encinitas Blvd., and then head west for around a mile. You should be on South Coast Highway 101. From there, you just have to drive around 2 more miles until you see the entrance to the beach and RV park.

You can get into San Elijo State Beach at any time from dawn to dusk. If you're camping out at the RV park, check-in times are at 2:00 p.m. each day. There's no cost to come to the park or the beach, but parking at the campground is usually reserved for campers only.
