Hot Springs National Park

Hot Springs National Park is a relaxation oasis that's just one hour away from Little Rock. This park is comprised of nine bathhouses, 26 miles of forested hiking trails, and several scenic bike paths. A great way to start your adventure is to go for a hike on any one of the park's 16 trails. You can then head over to the Buckstaff or Quapaw Bathhouses to experience the thermal springs. Buckstaff is the only bathhouse that's been continuously available since its opening over a century ago, and today, it offers modern spa services and amenities. LeFleur's Bluff State Park

Some of the best trails to trek are the Purple Trail that runs along Pearl River and the Green Trail with fantastic overlooks of the park. This park also features a nine-hole golf course and driving range along with easy access to the Museum of Natural Science, located just behind the park.

Paul B. Johnson State Park

Located in Mississippi's pine belt region, Paul B. Johnson State Park is the perfect spot for when you want to relax beachside, wet a hook, or take a refreshing dip on Geiger Lake. Check out the visitor center for information about the park, and enjoy the arcade-style game room that features billiard tables and classic video games. Take the Trail of the Southern Pines to the lookout tower for excellent views of the nature area.

You can't drive through Broken Arrow without stopping at Oklahoma Joe's for some of the finest barbecue in the South. At this special location, you can munch on Joe's award-winning Candy Hot Wings with an Oklahoma classic side of fried okra or take on the Grand Champion Platter. Arkansas Entertainer's Hall of Fame

As you pass through Pine Bluff, stop at the Arkansas Entertainer's Hall of Fame to honor artists with musical connections to the Natural State. Inductees include some of the greats such as Johnny Cash, Al Green, Glen Campbell, and Conway Twitty. Exhibits showcase entertainer memorabilia located in the Pine Bluff Convention Center. Admission is free, so make sure you check out this unique collection of musical artifacts. 

Mississippi Petrified Forest

The Mississippi Petrified Forest is a magical place located 30 minutes north of Jackson where you can enjoy a peaceful walk along the nature trail on your way to a few of the forest's most popular attractions. Check out the most photographed petrified log in the park, "Caveman's Bench," and snap a few pics of your own as you sit on a piece of prehistoric rock that's 36 million years old. At the end of the trail, you can explore the Earth Science Museum and flume for gems. 

Main Cities You Will Pass Through

Tulsa, OK

In Tulsa, you'll have a fantastic time exploring unique and odd locations like The Outsiders House Museum, sipping beer at the best bar Tulsa has to offer at Lefty's, and visiting a truly interesting homage to folk legend Woodie Guthrie at the Woodie Gutherie Center.
