This beautiful 300-square-mile portion of the Blue Ridge Mountains is home to plenty of fantastic peaks, forests, waterfalls, streams, plants, and animals. There are several great ways to explore this Virginia park. The Appalachian Trail runs the entire length of the park, meaning you'll be able to hike more than 100 miles of that popular trail. Eisenhower State Park

Summit Lake State Park is easy to reach since it’s only 20 minutes north of Franklin Township, Indiana. Buck Creek State Park

Fishing, boating, and swimming are all popular activities to do at the Clarence J. Brown Reservoir, which is more than 2,000 acres large. More than 250 life-size figures of politicians, movie stars, musicians, athletes, monsters, and more await you at this 10,000-square-foot facility. The wax collection is housed in a cast-iron-facade warehouse building built in 1885 and listed as a National Historic Landmark.
Indianapolis Zoo
The Indianapolis Zoo is five minutes from both the heart of Indianapolis and Interstate 70 as it goes through town. This zoo is home to the only underwater dolphin viewing dome in the world, as well as America's biggest shark-touching pool. Kelton House Museum
