It was built in 1923 and was named in honor of U.S. Supreme Court Justice Lucius Quintus Cincinnatus Lamar. 

Serving its first customer on February 1, 1912, the next structure is the Buckstaff Bathhouse. The next building is the Ozark Bathhouse, constructed in 1922, which features unique plaster-cast window boxes. See artwork created by participants in the park’s artist-in-residence program inside. 

The Quapaw Bathhouse, with its Native American motif, was also built in 1922, and it is the largest on Bathhouse Row. Relax with a spa treatment. The next building is the Fordyce, and you will want to visit this bathhouse constructed in 1915 to learn more about the history of Bathhouse Row and the original wooden bathhouses located here. 

The next establishment is the Maurice, and workers constructed it in 1912. Finally, the Hale Bathhouse is the oldest surviving structure, and it is a wonderful place to spend the night if you don’t want to stay in your RV. Hale is the smallest, and it contains the only brewery in a national park.

Lake Thunderbird State Park

Hike along the Ancient Forest Trail to learn about the history of the land and the Osage Native Americans who called it home through interpretative signage. Five other trails also are available to hike through the old-growth forests.
