The Great Smoky Mountains National Park

It spreads out over 500,000 acres and is home to hundreds of protected species like brown bears, elk, and bison. Several iconic trails run throughout, including 4 miles of the Appalachian Trail and the Rainbow Falls Trail.

Shenandoah National Park

Shenandoah National Park is located in the mountains of Virginia and is one of the rockiest locales along this Miami to New York RV road trip. Croft State Park

Susquehanna State Park

Susquehanna State Park is part of the Maryland State Park System, and it’s an excellent place to visit if you like to mountain bike. In fact, some of the best biking trails in the state can be found here, but if you like to do things on the water like fishing or boating, you’ll have options here too. If you like to hunt, bow hunting is permitted in a specific area of the park.

As one of the first stops as you travel through Florida on your way up north, the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel and Casino in Hollywood, FL, is a great way to have a little fun. The casino provides any adults on the trip with hours of gambling fun, and the daily shows can often be seen by the entire family. You’ll love the Guitar Hotel Light Show, which uses a massive light-up guitar to entertain casino guests.

Martin Luther King Jr. Memorial

One of the newer monuments in Washington, D.C., the Martin Luther King Jr. Memorial is fronted by a large statue of the Civil Rights Movement leader called "The Stone of Hope." This memorial is the 395th unit in the National Parks Service and is located at 1964 Independence Avenue. On the nearby Inscription Wall, you’ll find several key quotes by King that are sure to inspire you and your family.

The Liberty Bell

There are few monuments more iconic in Philadelphia than the Liberty Bell, which is a symbol of freedom and justice. The bell’s first crack was formed when it first arrived in the city and was rung, but its larger crack came almost a hundred years later. There are several tours surrounding the bell that can help your family get a perspective on American history and the War for Independence.

Jacksonville, FL

Jacksonville is also the city with the youngest median age in the state; the average Jacksonville resident is about 36 years old.
