This beautiful park is found right at the center of Garland County, Arkansas, about 400 miles from Houston. San Antonio Missions National Historical Park
San Antonio Missions National Historical Park is home to one of the UNESCO World Heritage sites. The park features four of the five Spanish missions, and it's comprised of frontiers that were set up in the early 1700s. Due to a combination of drought and attacks from the Apaches, the settlers eventually moved into the missions to seek sanctuary. Brazos Bend State Park
Brazos Bend State Park is found 28 miles southwest Houston. The park is comprised of 5,000 acres and is made up of bottomland and coastal prairies. Galveston Island State Park

The Alamo
The Alamo is the site of one of the fiercest battles in the Texas revolution. The mission was founded in 1836 by the Roman Catholic Church.
