New River Gorge National Park  

In order to visit New River Gorge National Park on your Enterprise to Albany RV road trip, you'll need to drive three hours and five minutes north of Lexington, North Carolina. This West Virginia park may be America's newest national park, but it's long been known to adventurers for its stellar whitewater rafting, mountain climbing, and hiking opportunities. Shenandoah National Park  

Shenandoah National Park is only an hour and 20 minutes west of Fredericksburg, Virginia. The park also includes nearly 400 acres of forest, so there are plenty of great places for hiking, birdwatching, and picnicking. 

Kings Mountain State Park  

Kings Mountain State Park is just 15 minutes from Kings Mountain, North Carolina. This park is on the National Register of Historic Places for good reason; be sure to check out the Living History Farm to learn more about what farming was like in the 1800s. Between Lake Crawford and Lake York, there are plenty of nice places to go fishing, boating, and swimming. The park contains 16 miles of lovely trails that will take you through this beautiful forest park. 

Falls Lake State Recreation Area  

You'll be able to easily reach Falls Lake State Recreation Area by driving 15 minutes from Durham, North Carolina. At this park, there are plenty of access points to lovely Falls Lake, so you'll have no problem putting your boat in the water. If you'd rather stay onshore, you'll be able to swim or sunbathe on any of the park's five swimming beaches. Camping is popular here thanks to the two campgrounds that have amenities like full hookups, swimming beaches, and boat ramps. 

Schodack Island State Park  

Before you reach your final destination, you should make time for one final park on your road trip itinerary from Enterprise to Albany: Schodack Island State Park. This park is 25 minutes from Coeyman, New York; as its name implies, it's an island between the Hudson River and Schodack Creek.
