Nearby National Parks

Yellowstone National Park

While there aren't many national parks between Boise and Casper, you do have the chance to stop at Yellowstone National Park, which can take a few days to explore. With nearly 3,500 square miles, the park is home to both mountain peaks and deep valleys. You can head over to Old Faithful and see it erupt before hiking the Mallard Trail or the Fairy Falls Trail. Yellowstone National Park has multiple campgrounds where you can stay and several restaurants, including the Grant Village Dining Room and Cafe Madriz.

Grand Teton National Park

Once you reach Casper, consider taking a day trip to Grand Teton National Park near Jackson. This gorgeous park is open year-round and features several public and private campgrounds. Edness K. Wilkins State Park
