The Truman Home, formerly known as the Gates-Wallace Home, was inhabited by Harry S. Truman from when he married Bess Wallace in 1919 to his passing on December 26, 1972. The Truman Farm Home, on the other hand, is central to the 5-acre remnant of what used to be the Truman family's 600-acre farm.
