- Olympic National Park
Washington state's Olympic Peninsula is home to Olympic National Park, which covers nearly a million acres. Some of Olympic National Park's biggest attractions are the Hoh River Valley, the Sol Duc Valley, and Hurricane Ridge. Those in search of rugged yet peaceful beaches often visit locations like Rialto Beach, Shi Shi Beach, and Kalaloch. The summer season is the most popular time to visit, so plan on RVing to Olympic National Park from June through September to take advantage of most of the park's features. If you visit during the winter, however, you'll be able to snowshoe, ski, tube, snowboard, and stroll along the beach. No RV guide to Olympic National Park would be complete without mentioning the Olympic National Park Visitor Center, which is open daily from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. every day except for Thanksgiving and Christmas. Other popular visitor centers include the Hoh Rain Forest Visitor Center, the Hurricane Ridge Visitor Center, and the Wilderness Information Center. If you're looking for RV rentals near Olympic National Park, then you can find them in nearby Port Angeles and Sequim as well as Seattle and Tacoma. The park itself is most easily accessible by RV along Highway 101, and its offshoots that go to the park's RV-friendly campgrounds. Beyond those campgrounds, much of the park's roads are unpaved and inaccessible to RVs. Before you visit Olympic National Park, check for information on road closures and current conditions.
