State Route 20 is the main highway that traverses the North Cascades and provides the most direct route to the park's main entrance. To get to it from Sedro-Woolley, head east toward Puget Street. Turn left at the first cross street onto Puget Street. Turn right onto State Route 20 and continue for 45.2 miles until you reach the visitor center. If you're driving to North Cascades National Park from Bellingham International Airport in Bellingham, WA, head south on Mitchell Way and continue onto Airport Way. Turn left onto Airport Drive. Continue onto Bakerview Road. Use the right lane to take the ramp onto I-5 S. Merge onto I-5 S. Take exit 232 for Cook Road toward Sedro-Woolley. Turn left onto Cook Road. At the traffic circle, take the 2nd exit and stay on Cook Road. At the traffic circle, take the 2nd exit onto Borseth Street. Continue onto West Moore Street. Continue straight onto State Route 20 at the traffic circle and continue until you reach the North Cascades National Park entrance.
