The park boasts more than 60 miles of well-maintained hiking trails. Note that, because of the high elevation, many of the trails will be closed until late May or even June, due to lingering snow. How to get to Great Basin National Park

If you're driving to Great Basin National Park from the town of Baker, NV, head west on NV-488 toward Saval Avenue for 4.8 miles until you see the Great Basin National Park entrance. You can also access the park from Ely if you head south on Great Basin Boulevard and then continue straight onto US-50 E/Great Basin Boulevard for 53 miles. Turn right onto NF-456. Turn left to stay on NF-486. Continue until you see the park entrance.

The nearest airport to the park is Cedar City Regional Airport, but most people fly into St. George Regional Airport. From there, head out of the airport onto Highway 7 West and then merge onto I-15 N toward Salt Lake City. Take exit 62 for UT-130 toward Enoch/Minersville/ Cedar City. At the traffic circle, take the second exit onto UT-130 and then turn left onto UT-21 W. Turn left onto W 5000 S Rd/White Pine County Rd 42 and then onto Great Basin National Park/NF-448. Continue until you reach the Great Basin National Park entrance.
