Fundy National Park of Canada is located on the Bay of Fundy in New Brunswick, and is home to rugged coastline, shining waters, and upland forest and bogs. The Bay of Fundy is known for the greatest tidal change in the world, with the tides changing as much as 50 feet! Visitors to the park can walk out onto the sandy ocean floor during low tide, but that very same beach will be under feet of water later in the day. Explore the 80 square mile park to see some of the 25 waterfalls, hike the trails, wander the boardwalks, and explore the beaches. Even in the summer weather can be cooler in the park along the coast, so bring along a light jacket. Inland the fog dissipates and temperatures can be warmer. Although summer is an incredible time to visit the park and explore the beaches, winter has its adventures too. Cross country skiing, snowshoeing, and tobogganing are all popular winter activities. The Bay of Fundy is also home to the Hopewell Rocks, the famous flowerpot rock formations that can be seen when the tide goes out. It’s also a popular place to spot whales and other sea animals during the summer. Whether you’re hiking inland or spending the day on the beach, visiting Fundy National Park of Canada in an RV will provide you with plenty of exciting activities.

Things to do Outside Fundy National Park of Canada
One of the big attractions of the area is the Hopewell Rocks, although they aren’t technically in the national park. Don’t miss these flowerpot rocks that sit on the ocean floor and are almost submerged when the tides are in. But when the tides are out you can walk along the shoreline and take some amazing photos of these rock formations. Golfers won’t want to miss the course located inside Fundy National Park. This 9-hole par 70 course offers amazing views of the park and was designed by renown golf architect, Stanley Thompson. If you’re tired of hiking but still looking for some gorgeous scenery, drive the 19 mile Fundy Trail Parkway. This costal scenic drive along the bay has multiple scenic lookout points and picnic areas where you can enjoy the views at your own pace. And don’t forget to get out into the Bay of Fundy itself! The bay attracts many types of whales and sea animals including Humpback and North Atlantic Right Whales and white-sided dolphins. Summer and early fall are the best time to see these majestic animals and several companies along the bay offer whale watching trips.
