This campground is on the Animas River, and the historic Durango and Silverton Narrow Gauge train comes right through the campground. The city trolley stops right across the street, so you can go to Durango and not worry about parking. The RV park is just a few minutes from golf courses and whitewater rafting clubs.
This Durango, CO campground is near places where you can go fishing, golfing, hiking, and biking. There is also whitewater rafting on the Animas River, and the historically significant Mesa Verde National Park, a World Heritage Site, is nearby. This park is also near the historic downtown district of Durango.
“Very nice campground. Well maintained and clean. Friendly staff. Silverton train goes right through the camp twice in the morning and twice at dinnertime. Fun to wave at the passengers. Pull through sites are very tight. Great location out of town.” – Janet, Google Review
