Turtle River State Park is located in a beautiful wooded valley on the windy Turtle River, in the eastern region of the state. Just some of its nearby attractions include the Grand Forks County Larimore Dam Recreation Area, Grand Forks Air Force Base, the North Dakota Museum of Art, and Lincoln Drive Park. It’s also just a short drive from the popular city of Grand Forks, which borders the Red River.
Turtle River State Park offers year-round recreational activities, including picnicking and fishing, as well as trails for hiking, mountain biking and cross-country skiing. The on-site river is regularly stocked with rainbow trout, so even the youngsters will love borrowing fishing gear from the office to partake in the popular pastime. The park is also set across 784 acres, so if peace and privacy is what you’re after, you’ll certainly find it here!
“Beautiful RV park. I enjoyed everything about this place and so did my family. There’s large spots, no one bothers you and it is so peaceful here. I wish we could have stayed longer!” – Ariel, Google review
