Sumner Lake State Park is located about 70 miles to the west of Clovis. It sits on the banks of Lake Sumner, which is one of the biggest lakes in New Mexico. This park is at an elevation of 4,300 feet, and it features a small campground.
Endless hours of boating are awaiting you at Lake Sumner. There are plenty of equestrian trails in the area, and the park is an ideal spot for birding. Plus, you can fish at Lake Sumner from the shore or your boat.
“Good place if you like to fish or boat. Some camping spaces. Some areas have full hookups for RVs. Hot, and few trees in summer. Some cabanas for shade. If you enjoy water sports, you will enjoy this.” – J, Google Review
