“If you’re into kayaking or tubing or swimming there’s a lot of riverfront property in this park, that being the Shenandoah River. If you’re into hiking, there are a lot of trails to do that and some of these trails go right along the Shenandoah River with some very beautiful views. “Very nice park. Campsites are on the smaller side but well maintained and mostly level. Quiet at night, it’s a bit off the main road so all you hear is crickets. A good proportion of sites are pull through. The visitors center is as nice as I’ve seen in a state park, with displays of the local wildlife and a Koi pond.
