Shadrack Campground is a bustling campground located in the heart of Bristol, Tennessee. Open year-round, this campground becomes a hot spot during scar races. The abundantly stocked general store ensures that guests have access to everything they need.
Shadrack Campground is far from roughing it. This park offers a large number of RV parking spaces with modern amenities, such as showers, flush toilets and a clubhouse. The park is a hub for race fans, but those are certainly not the only groups that stop by. The on-site gated dog park is a great perk for travelers who enjoy bringing along their furry friends. Visitors can walk to the racetrack or enjoy other nearby attractions. South Holston Lake is a 7,580-acre reservoir that offers ample fishing and boating opportunities. Meanwhile, the Birthplace of Country Music is a museum dedicated to some of America’s earliest music recordings. Furthermore, Worley Cave is a great spot to bring the little ones, although be sure to bring an extra set of clothes as you will get muddy here.
“The sites are flat, gravel, and located along a creek. There are many sites and a nice large bathhouse that is very clean. I suspect that it fills up during SCAR. There is a racetrack right next door. I used it for an overnight stay on my way south. It is 15 or so miles from the interstate. We had no problems here. It was very quiet.”- Karl, Google review
