The Savannah South KOA is in Richmond Hill, which is a small town on the southwestern edge of Savannah. This campground is only a few blocks away from Interstate 95, and when the traffic is light, you can be in downtown Savanh in less than a half-hour. In downtown Savannah, you can enjoy one of the many walking tours offered in the city and see the many sites, including places where notable movies like “Forrest Gump” and “Midnight in the Garden of Good and Evil” were filmed.
Because this site is operated by the KOA, it is one of the premier places to go RV camping in Savannah-Hinesville. It is loaded with amenities and things to do. It has a lake where you and the family can launch nonmotorized boats or do some fishing. The site has even contracted with a couple of area tours to take guests to see various sites in the area.
“Great RV park — nice and quiet. Right off the freeway, so very convenient. Check-in was easy, and the ladies at the front desk were nice. We would stay here again.” – Amy, Google Review
