You’ll find Point Beach State Forest nestled on the western shores of Lake Michigan just 40 minutes from Green Bay. A quick drive up I-43 will take you straight to Bay Beach Amusement Park, while a straight shot south on I-43 will take you through Milwaukee and on to Chicago. This is a beautiful, serene campground amidst ample state forest that’s a great central point between a lot of the area’s major cities and big attractions.
This is a very popular campground – and for good reason. First of all, you’ve got a 6-mile beach along Lake Michigan right at your doorstep. As if that weren’t a big enough draw, you’re also surrounded by a massive pine and hemlock forest that offers miles upon miles of hiking and biking trails. On top of that, the facilities are updated and in great shape. They even have a new shower building with each shower in a private room with its own toilet and sink, which is uncommon for a state-run campground. You’ll find comfort, convenience, and immersion in nature here!
