Pendleton Bend Recreation Area & Campground is near the site of the first village established west of the Mississippi River in 1685 by Henri de Tonti. This Monticello, Arkansas, campground is near two wildlife areas, but fishing and boating are the main activities. Visitors can take advantage of the excellent fishing for crappie, bass, and catfish in the tailwaters of the dam, and there is a boat ramp in the campground.
Pendleton Bend Recreation Area & Campground is a well-run facility with fishing and boating on the Arkansas River. If you love motorcycling, this is the place for you. It is both motorcycle-friendly and child-friendly.
