You’ll have no problem driving to the campgrounds at this state park because the asphalt roads are well-kept. The park itself sits along an old Natchez Trace alternative route across the Tennessee River from the Natchez Trace Parkway. When you’re RV camping near Jackson, you’ll want to spend at least a couple of days at this lovely park.
If you prefer full hookups, then try to get a site at this state park’s Pin Oak Campground. Cub Lake Campground on the opposite side of the park has water and electricity in one section and primitive sites in the other. A third campground, the Natchez Trace Wrangler Camp, is reserved for equestrians.
“…this park is pleasantly located on a lake with forested hillsides all around…Wide grassy sites. There is a small swimming area on the lake and a pier to launch kayaks/canoes…Many of the pull-through sites would be satellite friendly…” – TheBreeze, RV Park Review
