Located just six miles north of the city, these Dubuque camping sites are operated by the county. Anglers find easy access to Mud Lake and the Mississippi River. This is one of the first places to be part of the Osprey Reintroduction Program, and campers can often view them flying over the park.
Year-round camping is available at Mud Lake although the restrooms and shower facilities may be closed in the winter. While full hookups are not available, a dump station is conveniently located in the middle of the park. This Dubuque County campground is popular for ice fishing in the winter, and many use it has a base for fishing Mud Lake and the Mississippi River in the warmer months.
