This state park is located on a barrier island near Jacksonville. The campground is located on the eastern side of the park near the salt marshes. It is surrounded by gorgeous trees and a winding tidal creek.
You’ll enjoy miles of coastal beaches and vast hiking trails here. Bicyclists can enjoy riding along the paved trails. The campsites are slightly separated for more privacy, and campers can gather together for campfire circle time. Visitors can also experience the local sand dunes, salt marshes, and lush forests. Rental kayaks and paddle tours are also available for park guests. You can take a canoe out for a day on the creek. Guests also have access to fire pits and picnic tables at each campsite. One of the coolest features of Little Talbot Island State Park is that it has the only campground in the pristine Talbot Islands.
“This so far is my favorite beach in Jacksonville. While there were a good amount of people, you can walk for miles without encountering anyone. Options for camping.” – Benjamin, Google Review
