Lackawanna State Park is a beautiful 1,400-acre stretch of forests and waterways about 10 miles north of Scranton. Lackawanna Lake sits in the center of this rustic park and allows campers to participate in all sorts of water-based activities. If you have just purchased your own RV, it’s great little RV park near Scranton.
You’ll have a real out-in-nature experience staying at Lackawanna. Besides the lake, there are dozens of trails to hike and explore, horse riding, mountain biking, and hunting. There are also a couple of playgrounds to keep the kids busy while you relax.
