An Illinoisan drift-plain with a complex collection of valleys is a beautiful setting for a campground. This state park consists of 3,200 acres of rolling hills and a winding creek. Although the location is conveniently near U.S. Route 150, the park has the feel of a wilderness retreat.
Jubilee Creek is popular among anglers since it’s usually stocked with bluegills and bass. You can hike, bike, or ride on horseback through the many trails in the state park. Even during the winter months, you can camp in the Coyote Cove loop. You’ll have electricity but will otherwise need to be self-contained.
“There aren’t many frills, but there are large sites, each including a power hookup free of charge. The pit toilets are closer, but there is a free shower and flush toilets within walking distance. The hosts are gone a lot but come by and collect the fees later on, so just grab a site.” – Ron, Yelp Review
