Janes Island State Park is an Eastern Shore campground in Somerset County about 2.5 miles from Crisfield. Over 2,900 acres of salt marsh make up the island part of the park, which sits along the Chesapeake Bay and Daugherty Creek. It also boasts miles of pristine and secluded beaches.
If you love boating, you will enjoy Janes Island State Park because it offers over 30 miles of “water trails” as well as kayak and canoe rentals from late April through October. Janes Island also has an area where you can launch your boat, and there are many places where you can fish from the shore. The marina also has a place where you can clean your catches.
“Excellent experience. Beautiful views of the Chesapeake Bay. Water trails are highly accessible and allow for exploration of the white sandy beaches. Picturesque scenery from the bay side beaches. Great camping accommodations.” – Justin, Google Review
