Located just minutes from downtown Boone and the Appalachian State University, the Honey Bear Campground hosts frequent events throughout the year, including karaoke contests, barbecues, cornhole tourments, zombie paintball events and haunted hiking. Children love playing in the water under the water tower where they can build moats and other creations. You are likely to find a lively conversation going on at the Shot in the Dark Coffee Shop.
At this Boone, North Caroli, campground, you can participate in organized old-fashioned games, get involved in contests or watch an outdoor movie. Cast a line in the fishing pond before heading to the coffee shop to tell a story about the big one that got away. Children adore playing on the double swing and around the campground to their hearts’ content
“It’s always been a family favorite. It’s quiet at night, kids running around playing and having fun during the day… Great coffee house, wonderful and caring staff. There’s a duck pond and a peacefully flowing stream. We always camp on the 3rd weekend of September when they host the Bourbon, Bacon, and Brew festival. Friday nights, the kids get to have a dance party, and Saturday nights are family movie nights. All in all, it’s just a wonderful family campground!” – Steven, Google Reviews
